Sands of Gallipoli is Australia's premier Gallipoli commemorative series. Each year since 2002 it has delivered fresh collections to remember the service, courage and sacrifice of those who served in the Gallipoli campaign. The inclusion of sands collected from Anzac Cove at Gallipoli in our commemorative items allows people to hold close a true piece of Australian history.
Note: The Anzac Cove landing beach sands included in Sands of Gallipoli items was collected from prior to the 2005 roadworks which reclaimed much of the historic site.

The Limited Edition Sands of Gallipoli Centenary proof medallions are an enduring keepsake for avid collectors and those inspired by this historic national milestone. These are true heirlooms to be passed through the generations. Each comes with a numbered certificate of authenticity.
Featuring especially commissioned original artworks by renowned Australian artist Drew Harrison, the medallions capture the story and spirit of the Gallipoli campaign. The reverse of each features the evocative Gallipoli Centenary insignia.
Set and individual presentations include a vial of actual sands collected
from Anzac Cove prior to road excavations at the site in 2005 which
reclaimed much of the beach our diggers landed at 100 years ago.
Medallions are finished in gold and silver plate over solid brass and
measure 50mmby 4.5mm. Proof medallions are protected by a clear acrylic
case.
A piece to inspire reflection. 'Hold true our Spirit' presents the landing medallion and the sands from Gallipoli in a solid brass box that will age beautifully over the years. This presentation is styled on the "Christmas gift tins" sent by King George V's daughter, Princess Mary, to troops in the 1914. Only 10,000 brass-box Centenary medallions to be released.
